i've been making art with the theme I LIKE MYSELF based on my own personal life transformation from one who didn't know she wasn't behaving like someone who liked herself to someone who really does like herself. i knew i wanted to write a song with this title and there was no inspiration until i heard Yoko Ono's dance hit Bad Dancer. i realized i it should be a fun dance song... a song that get's stuck in people's heads! that's when the song poured out of me with the help of some fun tracks on garage band. in a dream john lennon told me i needed to record this song so that's when i got serious about it and i asked gram rabbit (of Joshua Tree) to record it for me, we did this in 2014. i co-produced with todd and jesika because i know what i like : ) it was a blast including a lot of local joshua tree musicians in the track and then having lots of JT personalities in the video (produced by Jessica Janos)
